Summer Shortlist Success for Top Banana.

Top Banana shortlisted for two industry awards

More good news for Top Banana as this month it was revealed we have been shortlisted in both the EVCOM Industry Awards and the IoIC National Awards for our work with Virgin Media Business.

On the 5th July the Top Banana team attended the EVCOM Summer Shortlist Party at the Institute of Contemporary Arts where it was revealed we had been shortlisted in the ‘Best Conference’ category. With three finalists making the cut for Best Conference, we’re up against stiff competition again this year, with big names all putting forward their best work.

Top Banana will be joining fellow agencies and industry professionals at the awards ceremony in November, with front row seats after winning the much sought after top table. Getting in to the World Cup spirit (when we still thought it might be coming home!) the Top B team chanted our way to victory and won ‘the most creative tweet’. But the question still remains … can we make it a hattrick?

Founder and CEO Richard Bridge said of the award: “We always strive to deliver creative, memorable events that offer meaningful ROI and this event did that in spades. Having the support of the senior team at Virgin Media Business every step of the way meant we really were able to work as one team to create something special together. It’s great to be shortlisted for this award and we look forward to finding out if we come out on top at the new EVCOM Industry awards in November”.

Also putting forward our work with Virgin Media Business for the IoIC National Awards, it was announced yesterday we have been shortlisted for ‘Best Event’.

Justine Stevenson, Awards Chair for the IoIC commented “Once again I am very impressed with the quality of entry which, in some classes, made the judges’ jobs extremely difficult. We continue to look for evidence of clear objectives and relevant measurement – as well as creativity and innovation – demonstrating that excellent IC work is demonstrably contributing to business success.”

We’re keeping our fingers and toes crossed for September where we find out if we have won in the IoIC Awards and November for the EVCOM awards lunch. Watch this space…
