Venues Hot List.

We’re always looking for the next best place to add to our list of venues around the world. Having worked on every continent bar Antarctica, our little black book is already pretty full. But in an evolving industry that quickly moves onto new trends and priorities – it’s vital that we stay on top of new venue openings and industry trends and keep our options open. From technology advances to what’s new worldwide, here’s our hotlist of new hotel openings and trends.

Top Trends.

Tech is Key

Smart phone keys to get into your hotel room has been an up and coming tool for the past 4 years. We’ve been loving this trend and have found from experience that it saves time, resource and travellers & delegates appreciate the ease of access using their device. IHG, Marriott and Hilton have all adopted online check-in and keyless entry for their guests. Virtual Concierge service is now a standard in most hotels and for regular and experienced travellers the service and facility is now expected.

Other technology advances such a VR Headset recces and virtual site visits using 3D are also becoming the norm…

Responsible Venues Only

Now often coming hand in hand, places are already picking up that delegates look for venues that consider both wellbeing and sustainability. Destinations such as thecamp in France are already cutting out meat, offering plant-based catering only and we’ve even had a client recently ask for an all plant-based event for over 300 delegates. Tackling plastic has also been a massive priority for places such as Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, whose properties have gone plastic-straw free, as well as Hilton, IHG and Marriott who are also putting plans in place remove the small single use plastic toiletry containers from all bedrooms. As for wellbeing, people are now looking to venues to offer meeting solutions that are more than a conference room and involve elements of the nature or even yoga and meditation between sessions.

This sort of action is on the rise, as with a new venue pledge to cut water and landfill waste by 2020 – the next few years will see an explosion of venue offerings that are tailored around personal wellbeing and sustainability.

This purpose-built venue will be able to host Film Premieres and events at a huge scale – with underground dining that’s totally unique to the capital. Keep your eye’s peeled on their website, we know this is going to be one of the best new openings in London for a while.

Hard Rock Hotel Amsterdam

Upping the options in Amsterdam, the new Hard Rock Hotel opening in 2020 will be bought to life in an iconic Amsterdam building, the formerly known American Hotel. It seems a perfect pairing that the staple entertainment venue comes to the city renowned for its nightlife and culture. The hotel is set to feature some incredible amenities, such as The Sound of Your Stay® which allows guests to stream their choice of playlists upon check-in as well as Rock Om® – an in-room yoga program that’s totally based around the power of music.

Four Seasons, Bangkok

Amongst the noise of this busy city, Four Seasons Bangkok is a welcome piece of luxury and calm. This new hotel is a waterfront paradise that sits on the Chao Phraya River, overlooking the city. With a private boat for an exclusive river tours and street food sampling through the local neighbourhood – this hotel doubles up as an incentive opportunity with the multitude of activities on offer.
