Internal Communications Event of the Year.

The C&IT Awards are the definitive awards for business to business events with the top playing agencies and clients submitting entries for some of the most amazing corporate events we’ve seen. That’s why we were delighted (and still can’t quite believe) that Top Banana won the competitive category of ‘International Communications Event of the Year’. For this award-winning entry, we wowed the judges with a write up of a project we planned and executed for one of our long-standing clients, Bacardi.

Top Banana have been working with the global Bacardi team for nearly 10 years, and as a result have built up a great relationship with the key stakeholders within the business. That’s why they trusted our team to create and deliver a milestone Senior Leaders Summit that would launch and communicate their new 10-year global strategy. The objective was to bring Bacardi’s global leaders together as one team and inspire them to deliver the best 10 years the business has ever seen. The event needed to reinforce culture, rally and galvanise Bacardi’s leaders to act, reconnect as a team, and understand their role in communicating, cascading and executing the strategy.

And boy did we deliver. Here’s what some of the judges had to say about the event.

The Best 10 is no one-time event, it’s an ambitious ten-year plan and every single person who works at Bacardi needs to be on board to ensure its success. The Leaders’ Summit was just the beginning and we are working with Bacardi to cascade Best 10 to all employees around the world through a series of events. So far, we’ve been to Miami, Puerto Rico, Mexico City, Athens, Moscow, Lisbon, Cognac and many more locations around the globe. By the end of 2019, every single member of the team will know what the global strategy is and understand their role in executing it.
