From a competitive pool of talent, we’re thrilled to announce our Account Manager Beccy has been shortlisted as a C&IT A-Lister for 2021! Beccy will be the 9th Banana to have held the title, and we all agree here that she certainly deserves the recognition!
Beccy has a raw talent and passion for events, coupled with her drive to mentor others and her ‘people first’ approach – she has in two years become one of Top Bananas most valued employees. Having previously worked for Fresh, The Appointment Group and Manchester Central; her 7-year career has seen her grow, develop, and challenge her skillset and she is now one of the most experienced people in Top Banana for communication and strategy projects – a vital diversification for the business.
Since joining Top Banana in 2019, this forward-thinking, innovative and ‘others first’ mentality has driven Beccy’s career and shaped the Account Manager she has become today. Her holistic thinking and passion for people have made her incredibly talented for internal communication and strategic client projects and she is now fundamental in developing new ways of working with clients on a more strategic level – quickly learning how to get under the skin of a business and grow accounts from the inside out. This has become instrumental in the Manchester team’s significant growth story over the past 2 years, winning 5 new accounts in the last 12 months alone that focus heavily on creative comms, campaigns, and strategy work.
As well as internal communication projects, Beccy’s talents in live event management have proven to be impeccable, and she has done everything from Formula 1 sponsor activations and global conferences to planning incentive trips in Japan and event roadshows around the UK. Her creativity and innovation in events have meant that over the last 12 months, she has spearheaded our virtual production offering thanks to her technical skills, as she is now self-taught in auto cad, OBS and WordPress. She has managed over 30 virtual events since March 2020 and each time has developed creative, engaging rationale that provided clients with an experience, not just a one-way stream.

Since joining she has helped pioneer some of our now biggest communication and strategy accounts – completely diversifying her skillset to what it was when she arrived in 2019. She never looks at a project seeing limitations – only possibilities, and she has an incredible ability to understand an account, their strategy and develop trust and understanding with a client – forming bonds and creating partnerships with everyone she works with. It is this mindset that has allowed her to grow so rapidly within the business and her ability to adapt has resulted in incredible virtual projects, that was totally alien to her before. Her creativity and her drive, coupled with an infectious personality, means she is loved by the Top Banana team and the clients she works with – her future is so bright, and it’s been amazing to watch her grow, knowing there is only more excellence to come”
